The Admission Procedure
Angels Specialist School International operates a non-selective admissions policy. We offer admission to children who can take advantage of our well-balanced and rigorous programmes.
- For applicants to the nursery, parents and their wards are taken through an informal interview.
- For Pre-KG and KG (Foundation) applicants are tested in Literacy, and Numeracy.
- For Primary and Junior High, applicants are tested in Maths and English Language.
- Prior school reports, sample “pieces” of work, official transcript, cumulative records and any other documentation should be brought to the admission interview.
For non-English speaking applicants, ESL (English as Second Language) test is administered. There are no strict applications deadlines and space-permitting, we admit children up to the second trimester of each academic year. For applicants for the next academic year, availability of places may be subject to the outcome of the school’s pre-registration process.
Application For Admission
Ideally, an applicant or his/her representative will call at the front desk where the attendant will in turn direct him/her to the Head of Academics or the Superintendent for preliminary discussion. If an applicant or representative then decides to apply for a school place, he/she will be made to buy “application for admissions” forms at GH¢120.00, fill them out, attach two recent passport-size photographs of the applicant and submit them all to the Administration Assistant for processing. Alternatively, contacts could be made on +233-200-309-050.
Once the completed “application for admissions” forms and application fee have been received, the admission office will acknowledge this by email or phone indicating the interview and other procedures within two weeks.
Following the interview and placement test, the final decision will then be communicated to the parent by telephone and email. If a place is offered, an offer letter plus invoice will be sent to the same.
Similarly, parents who call in personally will be given the said offer letter and “quotation” of fees [invoice]. The offer of a place at the school must be accepted within seven days and non-refundable tuition and registration fees must also be received within this time. The place is finally confirmed once the full payment for the term has been received… then voila, your child is now an angel.
Orientation of new families
Orientation programmes are conducted for new parents at the beginning of a new school year. All such parents are obliged to attend the programme.
If a place cannot be immediately offered, the applicant may be placed on the school’s waiting list, Priority of admission will be given to applicants on the waiting list.
