LETTER OF RE-CALL
In keeping with the provisions of the time-table and academic calendar pursued by international schools on the Cambridge International programme worldwide, we had had to let the Cambridge Secondary Department proceed on the summer holidays with effect from 30th June, 2016 and ahead of their peers in the other departments.
Taking into account that the term’s work was over and that examinations had ended, a number of parents impressed upon us their desire to travel abroad with their children in tow. On hindsight, we ought to have given parents official notice on this development.
In the present circumstances, we are recalling all students of the Cambridge Secondary Department who have not travelled outside to resume classes tomorrow, 8th July, 2016 for post-examination discussions with teachers and also to partake in preparations towards the school’s upcoming Graduation ceremony.
TEXTBOOKS AND LEARNING MATERIALS
Parents of the Cambridge Secondary Department are reminded that sale/issue of prescribed textbooks and stationery will be commence as from 25th August, 2016.
According to Management, students who have qualified to pursue the IGCSE programme in Year 10 and beyond will be required to obtain a set of uniform prescribed for that level. Parents shall have to arrange to have their students kitted out accordingly. Kindly direct your enquires on this issue to the school’s administration or call 050-128-1961 for details.
COLLECTION OF TERMINAL REPORTS
Parents are advised to pick the terminal reports of their children as from 20th July, 2016. Students in Year 8 will be required to return the questionnaire on the choice of SUBJECT COMBINATIONS to the Head of Cambridge Secondary not later than 15th July, 2016 for the necessary action. Parents should note that the choice of subject combination is urgent and will inform the prescription of the appropriate textbooks and materials for their children.
DATE OF RESUMPTION
The Cambridge Secondary Department will resume on the 13th September, 2016 to kick start the 2016/2017 academic work. Parents will have to ensure that their children have the full complement of textbooks and stationery at the ready before classes begin in September, 2016.
It might interest our cherished parents to note that vacancies exist in Year 7, 8, 9 and 10 for interested students elsewhere. There will be late entrance exams for students, who wish to enroll in our Cambridge Secondary Year 10 on 30th July, 2016. Other pupils/students who look to enroll in other departments example Pre-school to Secondary are welcome to take similar tests on 30th July, 2016.
We are happy to announce that come next trimester, BOARDING FACILITIES will be available. Details of this will be made available to parents in due course.
