October 2017 NewsLetter

26th October, 2017

Dear Parent/Guardian,

MID-TRIMESTER RECESS

Management wishes to express its profound appreciation to the Almighty God for His care and guidance from the commencement of this trimester. It is our prayer that He continues to shower His blessings on all of us; Students, Parents, Staff and Management.

We do hereby announce that the mid-trimester recess begins at 16:00 hours on Thursday, 26th October, 2017, after the ASSISA meeting and ends on Monday, 30th October, 2017. The School resumes for the continuation of intensive academic work on Tuesday, 31st October, 2017.

APPRECIATION

We would like to say a special thank you to all you our very dedicated and wonderful Parents/Guardians for the various roles you played to help make the School’s Megafest 2017 a big success. Management deeply recognizes and appreciates the key roles you played; provision of traditional costumes and attire, jewelleries, boiled indigenous food, and in some cases, local non-alcoholic beverages. Management will equally like to thank our Teachers and Administrative Staff who played a myriad of roles in making MEGAFEST superlative. Once again, we are grateful to all Parents and ASSISA.  Thank you for your donation to our Teachers during the World Teacher’s Day Celebration.

MEGAFEST VIDEOS/PICTURES

We contracted a professional photographer to take group and individual pictures of our Angels’ performances. The event’s videos and framed pictures will be put on sale
after the mid-trimester break. Interested Parents/Guardians should contact the Administration for copies.

AVAILABILTY OF TEXTBOOKS IN THE BOOKSHOP

Although the School has the full consignment of textbooks in our Bookshop, we realize that some of our students do not have copies of the textbooks for academic work. We are therefore appealing to Parents to visit the Bookshop to procure the prescribed textbooks for their wards. Management will carry out a thorough inspection of textbooks for all students after mid-trimester and those who may be found without textbooks and stationary will be asked to stay out of classes. Please help us make teaching and learning easier and smoother by buying the required academic support resources for your wards.

FIRST CLASS BOARDING FACILITY

ASSI’s first class boarding facility is in operation.  The facility is situated behind “The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints” at Community 22, Tema. Please make time to pass by for inspection and viewing.  We currently, enroll students from age 8 and above in the Boarding House and we would be happy to have your ward join those already enjoying the facility.  For further enquiries, please contact Ethel on 0243662666.

SCHOOL SHUTTLE/BUSINESS SERVICE

Effective November 1, 2017, ASSI School shuttle will be picking registered students who require pick up and drop off services.  The shuttle will operate within the following Communities in Tema: C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C7, C8, C9.  Parents who want to have their wards  enjoy this service should contact Esther Okley on 0243172133.

ANGELS AIR FORCE CADET

We have revitalized the activities of Angels Airforce Cadet (AAC). The Cadet Corp will receive their weekly trainings on every Thursday between 7:00am and 8:00am. Interested Parents/Guardians should ensure they bring their wards to school on time to enable them participate actively in the training and lessons. Additionally, please take note that every student who will enroll as a cadet trainee will be required to buy two customized T-Shirts for training purposes.

FINAL SETTLEMENT OF SCHOOL FEES FOR THE TRIMESTER

Management will like to remind Parents and Guardians that all pupils are expected to make 100% school fees payments immediately after the mid-trimester recess.
We count very firmly on your cooperation in settling the outstanding school fees. Please ignore this if you have already made 100% fees payment.

CONCLUSION

Once again, Management thank all Stakeholders for helping to make
“The Dawning of a New Day” a success. Please stand by us and with your support, ASSI will move unto a higher pedestal!

Thank you.
